We have been so busy the last few months that we have not had time to share all the good news. Since the beginning of the year BraveGen has grown with five people joining the team. This is the first of several profiles on the new team members.

Jake

Jake might be the youngest of our team, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t highly valued. He’s our go-to person for Business Intelligence (BI). His effort is behind many of the excellent charts and graphs in the BraveGen system.

Jake graduated from The University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Environmental Planning. This is essentially a degree where he studied the structures and regulations around planning cities. He’s a natural fit for BraveGen with our focus on the environment; especially our Environmental Compliance software.

Fun fact! Jake is a professional Handler! Since he was a youngster, Jake has worked at his family’s greyhound kennels. There he did everything right down to training the greyhounds. Now that we are working from home, Jake is often accompanied by Tom who, when racing as Fancy Tip, won the Auckland Cup!

Jake started as an intern in December. We were so impressed with his work we brought him on board full-time after only four months. He is enjoying this new challenge and is learning a lot. As some of you may already know he is increasing his client contact, which he is really enjoying. He is looking to increase his professional skills, through working with clients and keeping his city planning credentials current.

Outside work Jake has interests that include reading and like many of his peers, gaming and having the odd drink.
